Dr. Mark Balas

Autonomous ad Evolving Systems Lab

Dr. Mark Balas is the Jack D. Whitfield Professor of Dynamical Systems and Director of the Center for Autonomous and Evolving Systems at the University of Tennessee Space Institute. He is a mathematician-engineer, who is a Fellow of the IEEE, AIAA and ASME.

Areas of expertise include Control Theory and Aerospace Systems Applications, Adaptive Control of Evolving Systems, Infinite Dimensional Systems Theory, Control of Quantum Information Systems, and Mathematics for Modern Engineering.
